Fulham have now not won in seven and have conceded six goals in their last two home matches, so are far from in-form coming into this one.

Martin Jol will have big concerns that his men are only four points clear of safety, so will call upon the likes of Dimitar Berbatov to provide that bit of quality needed to take all three points.

The big plus for Jol is the return from suspension of Brede Hangeland, who will come straight back in in the centre of defence which leaked three goals at the Cottage against Tottenham last week. Bryan Ruiz will once again miss out with a hamstring injury.

As for Newcastle, they were on a run of four straight defeats, but last Monday’s 3-0 win over Wigan Athletic could have kick-started their campaign as the Toon can welcome back Hatem Ben Arfa after a lengthy injury absence.

Alan Pardew will know that Craven Cottage can be a tough place to come and that his side will need to be at their best to take all three points, but the Toon looked to have stopped the rot last week and looked back to their best. Take the 5/2 on offer for the away win, which offers more than  a hint of value.

On Tuesday, Sunderland and Reading lock horns at the Stadium of Light. This game was due to take place in August, but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Now it looks all set to go ahead and it is a huge match between two teams currently occupying a spot in the bottom three.

Martin O’Neill knows that only a win in this one will do, or the fans’ could really start to get on his back. With no win in four though, it is going to be tough. The Black Cats now currently lie in the relegation zone after a 3-1 home defeat by Chelsea on the weekend, and there’s no doubt that there are genuine fears for their Premiership safety.

Goals seem to be a problem for Sunderland, and their situation is not helped through the absence of Steven Fletcher, who is out with an ankle injury.

Reading have now lost all of their last four games and that form has put them six points adrift of safety. The Royals need to turn their results around if they are to survive in this league.

With four teams all struggling for confidence, we could be in for a couple of anxious nights in the Premier League, but they are sure to be fascinating to watch.
