Paris Saint Germain boss Carol Ancelotti has revealed that Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez’s character is what attracted him to the player.
The mega-rich French club were tracking the Argentine but were unable to complete a deal during the January transfer window.
The Italian boss insists that Roberto Mancini’s side are missing a massive part of their squad without his services.
Meanwhile, the former Chelsea manager admitted that they were also trying to bring David Beckham and Alexandre Pato to France, but claims they did not move for Real Madrid star Kaka.
“We tried to sign Beckham, Alexandre Pato, Tevez, but not Kaka,” stated Ancelotti to the Mail on Sunday.
“Beckham is not young, but he has personality, character. This team needs to have more personality and Tevez has a lot of character.
“For two years Tevez did really well at Manchester City. City have lost something without him.
“I don’t know if we’ll try against in the summer. In January there were not a lot of options around about strikers. Tevez, but not others. In June there will be more options.”
