QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt has confirmed that he is in talks with French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
Following QPR’s Championship-promotion season, Taarabt has been subject to plenty of transfer speculation, linking him with a crowd of top European clubs.
PSG are suspected to have already had a bid turned down, but if the French club reach QPR’s estimate of the midfielder, he is expected to leave the London club.
QPR boss Neil Warnock told the BBC Sport website: “I am hoping things break down if I’m honest, but I think if they come up with the money then I am sure he will be on his bike.”
Taarabt made the permanent move to QPR in 2010, after failing to make even one appearance for fromer club Tottenham. However, if any deal does come to fruition, the Spurs would receive 35% of the transfer.
The Moroccan international has commented on the matter, telling BBC Sport:”We’re talking with Paris Saint-Germain, but nothing is done.”
The 22 year-old starlet also added:”We’re very close, but if no deal is reached then I will play for QPR in the Premier League.”
