QPR Complete Second Signing of the Week

Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of right-back Luke Young from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee. It was revealed earlier this week that QPR were to consider making an offer for the defender.

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish confirmed on Friday that he had agree to let Young speak to QPR as he was desperate for a move back to London, even though he had started both of Villa’s opening games.

Young joins Rangers after signing a three-year deal and is the second signing Neil Warnock has made this week after they confirmed the signing of Joey Barton on Friday.

“I am ready for a new challenge,” Young told the club’s official website. “There are big things that are going to happen at this football club and I am really pleased to be a part of it.
“Myself and Joey signing here shows the intent of the club.

“I am really looking forward to getting started and pulling on the blue and white shirt.”
