QPR Everton Odds : Hughes desperate for win as Toffees look touch of value

QPR will look to turn the tide in their struggle against relegation when they play hosts to an in-form Everton outfit on Saturday, as the Toffees look a touch of value at 7/5.

Since Mark Hughes took over the club back in January following Neil Warnock’s departure there has been little change, with the Hoops failing to pick up a league win since their 3-1 victory over Wigan back in January.

That has left them in 17th points and out of the relegation zone only by virtue of goal difference, while on-field discipline has been found wanting in recent weeks, leaving them short of players.

January signing Djibril Cisse was sent off against Wolves in only his second game for the club while Samba Diakite bettered that by being given his marching orders on his debut last week in the 1-0 defeat against Hughes’ former club Fulham.

Despite recent event Hughes maintains that QPR won’t be going back down to the Championship the year after they were crowned Champions of that division, but he may well have to face up to the prospect of finishing this weekend in the bottom three because of the visit of one of the form sides in the Premier League.

Everton have transformed their season following a rough 2011, and have picked up wins against Chelsea and Manchester City in 2012 already to add to the feel-good feeling at Goodison Park that came following some astute signings in the January transfer window.

The Toffees enjoyed a weekend off last time round thanks to Liverpool’s participation in the Carling Cup final but they will be keen to continue their march up the league that has seen them move to within six points of their cross-city rivals.

QPR should be able to welcome back Taye Taiwo, Luke Young, DJ Campbell and Heidar Helguson, while Everton will be hoping to welcome back their leading scorer Victor Anichebe from injury,.

Tim Cahill should recover from a knock, Jack Rodwell, Leon Osman and Phil Jagielka should also feature but Landon Donovan’s loan spell has come to an end.
