New QPR owner, Tony Fernandes, has admitted via social networking site, Twitter, that the club are indeed interested in signing David Beckham and may make their move for the playmaker soon.
The midfielder is currently playing for LA Galaxy in the US, but will be out of contract in November when the MLS season ends.
Fernandes’ Twitter post read: “I think having someone like David [Beckham] in the club would be great. Was always in my thoughts. Let’s see.”
It’s said that the Malaysian businessman has links with entertainment company AEG, who own LA Galaxy, and has used the links and has already made contact with Beckham about a possible move.
Manager, Neil Warnock, has given the green light for the deal to go ahead, and the 36 year-old former Manchester United star may vote in favour a move back to London.
