QPR poised to make move for Liverpool outcast

QPR are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder, Joe Cole, on a season-long loan deal.

Cole has found himself out of favour at Anfield since joining the Reds last year, and may be open to the move in order to gain more first team football.

QPR are still restricted in their transfer constraints, despite the new ownership of Malaysian businessman, Tony Fernandes, with loan deals and Bosman free transfers still seeming their most likely transfers.

The 29 year-old commands big wages with the Reds despite his low participation in first team affairs, but would be able to account for a larger percentage following the owner takeover.

Rangers’ manager, Neil Warnock, noted: “Joe Cole? We can probably afford 30 or 40 per cent of his wages now. The chairman knows all my targets, and we are discussing them.”
