QPR are rumoured to be serious regarding a move for Italian defender Fabio Cannavaro and Blackpool striker DJ Campbell as the side prepare for life in the Premier League.
Despite being at the age of 37, Cannavaro still believes he can deliver and wishes to try out the Premier League after spending a year with United Arab Emirates side Al-Ahli. Although it is unlikely that the former Italian international will feature very much for the West London club, QPR’s hierarchy believe he will be able to offer much more than just defending on the pitch and see him as someone the side can turn to in times of guidance.
With regards to DJ Campbell, QPR are believed to have already made a bid for the 29 year old forward for a fee believed to be just over £1million. QPR do need back up in that area as they embark on a new campaign and although Blackpool are keen to keep as many of their more experienced players as possible, it is believed that Ian Holloway will be ready to cash in on the former Leicester City striker within the next week.
