The latest rumours to be filtering out of West London suggest that QPR are looking to prise two of Wigan’s youngest talents should the Lancashire club be relegated this season.
Both James McCarthy and Victor Moses are apparently on the QPR transfer wish list and it would be certain that both Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore will need to inject more cash into the transfer kitty to land them. James McCarthy has already been linked with a move away to current Premiership Champions Chelsea and Moses, despite comments of commitment is on the radar of numerous clubs.
Should Wigan indeed be relegated this season – The Latics remain one point of the relegation zone – then it will be touch for Roberto Martinez to keep hold of the youngsters before heading to the Championship although should they survive then it is unlikely that either player will want to move on at this stage in their career.
Moses will only be 21 at the end of the year and McCarthy will reach 21 in November. Whilst the two players may be on the QPR wanted list, a decision to follow through with any interest will only be decided once Wigan’s future for next season is known.
