Dundee United have deflected a second Rangers bid for striker, David Goodwillie.
The news comes after the Glasgow club had a first bid of just over £1m rejected only a few weeks ago. Now, Rangers have added competition in the form of Ian Holloway’s Blackpool, who have enquired about the forward.
It’s understood that United chairman Stephen Thompson met with Karl Oyston, his Blackpool counterpart, regarding Goodwillie and a £2m bid id expected to be made soon.
The 22 year-old is thought to be attracting interest from ten clubs, just after having a rape charge dropped against him on Monday.
