One of the biggest names to return will be Wayne Bridge, as the former England international is back after missing the Yeovil game with a knee injury.

Joining him back in the squad will be Stephen Kelly who has returned to the first squad after being away for the birth of his son a fortnight ago

But there are some doubts to other names in the squad as both Jason Roberts and Mikele Leigertwood have only just regained fitness are long-term injuries are still some way short of full match fitness.

There’s mixed fortunes though for Brighton who will be eager to try and re-capture much of their good form from last season ahead of their trip to Berkshire.

The Seagulls will be buoyed by the return of Spanish defender Bruno who had spent the past few weeks out with a hamstring injury.

Andrea Orlandi and Keith Andrews will also be likely to make their way back into the starting line-up having both been
limited to substitute appearances last time out against Millwall after being out with injury.

But Brighton are still being hindered by their lack of attacking players with at least 3 key forwards still out with injury and are unavailable for selection.

Craig Mackail-Smith, Will Hoskins and Ashley Barnes are still on the long-term injury list and will be heaping pressure on Leo Ulloa to keep banging in the goals each and every week.

The situation hasn’t been helped with the club unable to bring in any players to the club on deadline day meaning that they may have to rely on an emergency loan to solve their striker crisis.

Sunday’s clash will be a close affair but with Brighton being hindered by their lack of available strikers, it means that Reading are looking the more likely side to grind out a victory.
