Reading FC striker Shane Long is available to clubs for the right price with the Championship club looking at offers upwards of £7m.
Newcastle United were keen on the 24 year old however they feel the asking price by Reading to be too high and are instead looking at alternative options. However, bother Sunderland and West Brom are keen on the forward with Steve Bruce’s side certainly capable of matching Reading’s asking price.
Whilst Bruce is looking to once again make loan signings this summer, he is looking to add a striker having already been turned down by Robbie Keane and Jermaine Defoe’s reluctance to join the North East side.
