There is another El Clasico to look forward to this weekend as Real Madrid host Barcelona in La Liga and although this isn’t going to change the outcome of where the title is heading this campaign, it is still a massive encounter between these two bitter rivals.

They met in the Copa Del Rey semi-final second leg at the Nou Camp on Tuesday evening and not many would have been predicting the outcome as Real were 3-1 winners and booked their place in the final.

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed himself a brace that night, so he was the man grabbing all the headlines, whereas Lionel Messi went missing for the third big match in a row. However, it has been revealed that he had a fever when playing, but he could still feature on Saturday evening.

Jose Mourinho’s men are a massive 16 points adrift of their rivals, so a win here isn’t going to move them into title contention. Whenever these two sides meet though, they are both desperate to win and Real would love the chance to beat Barcelona two times in one week. They do look like great value at 2/1 as well.

They have shown that on their day, they can be one of the best sides in the world and with the Champions League clash against Manchester United coming up on Tuesday evening, the club from the capital know just how important confidence and momentum is.

Mourinho usually rests players ahead of such a big game during the week, but he isn’t likely to do that on Saturday as this is the biggest encounter that Spanish football has to offer, so both teams must be at their best.

Barcelona haven’t had a very good couple of weeks and although they know the title is all but guaranteed, this is a massive game for them.

They head to the Bernabeu with confidence in the group a bit shot and with their Champions League match against AC Milan just over a week away, spirits in the camp need to improve.

Their poor results in these big matches is largely down to the absence of Tito Vilanova, who is of course fighting illness at the moment. Jordi Roura, Vilanova’s assistant, is in temporary charge, but he seems to be struggling with the pressure that the job brings.

One thing Roura is sure to tell his players is to go out and win this one for their manager and we could be about to see a massive performance from the Catalan giants. The away team are at 24/17 here.

Barca are still one of the best teams in Europe and you only have to look at the La Liga table to see that they are the best that Spain has to offer this campaign. In five matches against Real Madrid this campaign, they have one just once and that was in a Super Cup encounter that they lost over two legs, something which is sure to be playing on their minds.

As ever when these two lock horns though, it will be an enthralling 90 minutes on Saturday afternoon.
