Real Madrid set to beat Arsenal and Inter Milan for star man

Eden Hazard could be on his way to Real Madrid next season instead of ArsenalIt appears that Real Madrid are a few steps ahead of both Premiership side Arsenal and Serie A giants Inter Milan where the signing of Lille star Eden Hazard is concerned with the 20 year old reportedly having already turned down an approach from the Italian side.

Reports claim that Jose Mourinho sees the youngster as one for the future of Madrid and that the side have already sent their director of football, former Real Madrid and Juventus playmaker, Zinedine Zidane, to try and lure him to the Bernabeu next season.

Arsenal were planning on bringing Eden Hazard to North London over the summer however the player not only wanted to remain with his current side Lille for a further year, but also Lille were not in a position to sell him without having first found a replacement.

Although most teams would consider entering a bidding war, the chances of beating Real Madrid in the spending stakes are slim given their past history where they smashed the record by paying £80m for Cristiano Ronaldo. Arsenal’s poor start to the season would also not favour the Emirates club with Hazard engaging in some Champions League football and likely to want more next season too.

Should Arsenal fail in their quest to reach yet another Champions League group stage then it certainly would be the final nail in the coffin where trying to lure the talent Eden Hazard is concerned.
