Owen Hargreaves could make his Manchester City debut tonight, in his new club’s Carling Cup tie against Birmingham.
Roberto Mancini has hinted that there will be changes in the squad that drew 2-2 at Craven Cottage on Sunday after going 2-0 up.
The Italian stated: “I need to speak with Owen and on Tuesday we will decide if he will play, but he probably will. He has been in full training but he is not 100 per cent. He could play maybe 30 to 45 minutes.”
He added: “We want to keep going in the competition but we also need to change players.”
Kolo Toure could also make his return after serving a six-month drug suspension, which he claims was due to taking one of his wife’s diet pills.
