Redknapp keen to challenge on all fronts

Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, says that his team has the depth necessary to compete in multiple tournaments this season.

The manager watched his side drop out of the Carling Cup on Wednesday night after being beaten 7-6 on penalties.

The task of juggling several campaigns took its toll on the North London side last season, but with the lesser task of coping with the Europa League, the manager is confident his squad can thrive.

Redknapp noted: “We feel we can compete on several fronts, because we have the squad to do it.”

He added: “It can be hard, but we honestly want to remain in every competition. We go into every game wanting to win and believing we can win. When we change the side it allows us to keep the team fresh and compete.”
