Reds Boss Praises New Signings

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish praised his summer signings just moments after their impressive 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates. Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Jose Enrique and Jordan Henderson were all included in Saturday’s game, making their second starts for the club since arriving at Anfield in the summer.

The four new boys have all made impressive starts to their Liverpool careers, with left-back Enrique being named Man of the Match for managing to keep Theo Walcott quiet throughout the match.

Dalglish, who led Liverpool to their first victory at the Emirates on Saturday, was delighted to see his team pick up their first victory of the season, which he believes will set of their campaign and is also promising for his new arrivals.

The Kop boss expressed “I thought it was a fantastic game of football – we are delighted to have won, we probably just about deserved it. We never lost a goal which is good for a start.”

“We know what the boys are capable of and it is just about getting them trained to play that way. I think you have seen the difference with an extra week and they were very impressive again.”
“They have got the first game out of the way and they know the size of the football club and what they have come for. If that is an indication of how quickly they have settled we have a lot to look forward to.”
