Reina agent dismisses Liverpool exit talk – Thursday’s Rumour Round-up
The agent of Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has denied that he is looking to leave after a sketchy start to the new Premier League season. The 30-year-old has been a mainstayat Anfield ever since joining from Villarreal in 2005 but an alarming dip in form has cast doubt over his long-term future on Merseyside. Rumours have since gathered that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers will look to sign Michael Vorm from old club Swansea in January with suggestions that he is being lined up to replace Reina. However his agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, has rejected claims the Spain international wants to leave Liverpool. talkSPORT
Madrid will sell Ronaldo for €200m – Real Madrid are prepared to let Cristiano Ronaldo leave for €200 million if they are unable nip his current discontent in the bud. The Portugal attacker is reportedly unhappy with the Spanish champions over his demands for a pay rise, something he personally denied, but it’s understood he will hold talks with coach Jose Mourinho and president Florentino Perez. Should the situation remain unresolved its rumoured that Madrid are willing sell their prized asset for less than a quarter of the €1 billion release clause written into his contract. Goal
Klose rejected summer move to Spurs – Germany striker Miroslav Klose claims he rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur during the summer. Spurs chased a number of strikers during the transfer window eventually signing Emmanuel Adebayor on a permanent deal from Manchester City and Klose revealed the North London club approached him over a potential move. The 34-year-old eventually signed for Lazio on a free transfer and will come up against his former suitors on Thursday in a Europa League tie at White Hart Lane. Metro
Hammers chasing former Pompey midfielder – West Ham United are reportedly looking to sign former Portsmouth midfielder Anthony vanden Borre. The Belgian international is available on a free transfer after leaving hometown club Genk in the summer and is looking to earn himself a contract at Upton Park. United eyeing up young Italian star – Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is interested in signing teenage Sassuolo starlet Domenico Beradi. The 18-year-old striker has caught Ferguson’s eye with some strong early performances this season and will battle with Juventus for his services and are reportely leading the chase for Beradi’s signature according to Sassuolo’s general director Nereo Bonato.
