Robin van Persie uncertain about United future

Manchester United star player, Robin van Persie has expressed his concerns over lack of progression regarding his contract renewal with the Red Devils.

The arrival of Radamel Falcao and the rise of promising James Wilson has somehow lessened the dependence of Manchester United on van Persie and the club has yet to offer the Dutchman a new contract with less than 18 months left on his contracts.

According to reports, the former Arsenal captain has expressed his concern over the issue as he fears that the arrival of new recruits will result in Manchester United letting him go. The striker has also failed to live up to his standards this season and the lack of goals up-front has caused Manchester United so much headache, with the club sitting fourth in the table.

James-WilsonThe Flying Dutchman was a phenomenal figure for United in his first season under Sir Alex Ferguson, but since has seen a decline in form. The arrival of countryman, van Gaal indicated that Persie will be soon back to his best but that hasn’t happened so far as the 30-year-old has failed to perform well on a consistent basis.

However, van Persie still remains one of the best strikers in the world and it would be a real shame if he is allowed to leave Old Trafford.
