Roma ready to rescue Manchester City striker

Italian Serie A side Roma are ready to rescue Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor with the Eastlands club looking to sell the Toglese forward but Real Madrid not keen on the asking price.

Adebayor spent the second part of last season on loan at the Spanish giants but current manager Jose Mourinho does not believe the player matches their current valuation and will look elsewhere for another striker. Roma, are however keen to add Addebator to their squad and will make an £18m bid for the 27 year old.

Adebayor is keen on a return to Madrid on a permanent basis but this will only become a reality should City lower their asking price. There could be a chance of the former Arsenal striker returning on loan however he now favours a permanent move.
