19 year old Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku has admitted he will make his decision and reveal which club he shall be joining by next Monday.
The striker has been compared closely to Didier Drogba and the youngster has admitted that he will be joining one of England’s top three teams. Whether that means the top three in the title race this season or top three over a period of time one can only guess however there has been strong links between Arsenal and Chelsea for the striker.
Manchester United have not been seen to show too much interest although there was a hint that Tottenham are also keen. Of course one can also chuck Manchester City into the mix too.
The Belgian striker, who will be in action against Guus Hiddink’s Turkey this weekend said:
“I would like my future settled by next Monday, my college exams start the next day and I don’t want any other concerns. I’ll be going to be one of the top two or three clubs in England, or else I’ll stay at Anderlecht.”
His final comment does confuse matters however claiming he wishes to play in front of 50,000 fans, something that cannot be done at Stamford Bridge who would be approxiamately 8000 fans short.
“I want to leave, because I want to score goals in a stadium where there are 50,000 people, and play in the Champions League.”
The is the second time in two days that a striker has given fans a waiting period (Gervinho yesterday gave us a week) and although Lukaku does offer a small clue, it really does not narrow it down enough.
