Wayne Rooney fears that a rift with Sir Alex Ferguson could lead to Manchester United cashing in on him next summer. The breakdown of his relationship with Ferguson is believed to be the reason for Rooney being dropped to the bench for the win over Fulham at the weekend and the feeling is that the England strikers days are numbered at Old Trafford. With Robin van Persie, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez to choose from it’s thought the Red Devils chief feels Rooney is dispensable and is willing to let him leave for £40 million. The Mirror

Walcott reportedly wants around £100,000-per-week to remain in North London but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is refusing to be held to ransom and could sell the 23-year-old to Manchester City or Liverpool for £12 m. Sporting Life

Owen also remains a target following his release from Manchester United earlier this summer with Pulis admitting he wants to sign the 32-year-old. Daily Mail

Cottagers eyeing Noble swoop – Fulham boss Martin Jol wants West Ham midfielder to replace Moussa Dembele as the Belgian closes in on a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
