Croatian international, Nikola Kalinic, has handed in a transfer request in an effort to engineer a move away from Ewood Park.
The 23 year-old striker arrived from Hadjuk Split in the the summer of 2009, and has seen himself fall out of favour under Steve Kean’s regime.
Croatia manager Slaven Bilic has billed Kalinic as ‘the future of Croatian football’, with Kalinic scoring four goals in eight appearances for the Croatian national team.
Blackburn are suspected to have received a £4m bid from Ukrainian side Dnipro. However, Steve Kean will be looking to regain closer to the £6m that the club paid for the forward.
