Two years ago Europe produced the “Miracle at Medinah”, coming from 10-6 on the final singles day to lift the trophy.

Ian Poulter played a huge part in Europe’s incredible turn around and is one of the three captain’s choices selected by Paul McGinley.

Lee Westwood and the only Scotsman Stephen Gallagher have also been picked, as Europe look to make it three Ryder Cup triumphs in a row.

USA have three debutants in their team, including Jordan Spieth, whom big things are expected from the youngster.

Captain Tom Watson choose Hunter Mahan among his three picks, as well as Keegan Bradley and Webb Simpson, who both have played in a single Ryder Cup each.
