Sagna expects Arsenal companion to fill Fabregas’ boots
Arsenal defender, Bacary Sagna, believes there is no need to purchase a Cesc Fabregas replacement, and that Aaron Ramsey can step in to fill the void.
The Welsh international played impressively in the Gunners’ 1-0 victory over Udinese in Tuesday’s Champions League qualifier.
Sagna noted: “Cesc is a great player. He was one of our best players but that’s part of football.”
“I will miss him of course but Aaron Ramsey did very well and he will show he is a great player as well,” the Frenchman added.
Ramsey looks set to get the chance for more game time at the Emirates Stadium, with the departure of Samir Nasri to Manchester City looking imminent.
