Scott Parker to join Arsenal within fortnight
West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker is set to join Arsenal “within the next fortnight” according to our sources in London.
The midfielder was voted players player of the season and the 30 year old former Chelsea man has been heavily linked with Arsenal over the last few weeks. Wenger is also keen to tie up new players as quickly as possible as he looks to add quality and experience for the new campaign.
Our source claimed.
“Parker will be joining Arsenal within the next fortnight but the fee will remain undisclosed. Arsenal are not a football club that likes to talk about their business publicly. There are some minor details to go through but everything looks set.”
Should the “minor details” go down well then this will be somewhat of a surprise signing for Arsenal who under Arsene Wenger, have always looked to purchase younger talent with potential. Whilst Parker is 30 years old, his ability to sit back and allow Wilshere and Fabregas to do what they do best is sure to work for the Emirates side.
