Both should be full of confidence coming in to this one however, with two impressive midweek wins, as the old lady defeated Chelsea 3-0, while the Rossoneri defeated Anderlecht in the Champions League.
Juventus certainly look the stronger on paper, and with Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella and the reliable Andrea Pirlo in midfield, manager Antonio Conte will certainly be hoping to consolidate at the top of Serie A and keep second placed Inter Milan at arms length.
If Milan are to capture a vital win, their game looks to evolve around impressive striker Stephan El Shaarawy, who once again scored midweek to add to his brace against Napoli, which takes his tally to 13 goals in his last 16 appearances.
Massimiliano Allegri will be hoping for more of the same, and there are signs of improvement following their qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League, and the 5/2 to win at home is certainly a tempting price.
Before the showcase of the weekend, kicking the action off on Saturday evening are Palermo and Catania and the former have won just two matches in the league all season – so need all three points in this one to move up the table. Catania have not lost in four though and can move into sixth with a victory.
Sunday afternoon sees high-flying Fiorentina in action as they travel to Torino, who sit in mid table right now. The away side have won their last five and moved into third in the league so they will be full of confidence going into this one.
Roma are on their travels as well as they take on Pescara. The hosts sit in the bottom three at the moment and despite this being a game against one of the strongest teams in the league, they do need to take something from it.
Sampdoria and Bologna also go head-to-head and Atalanta host bottom of the table Genoa, who have now lost six matches in a row.
There is a real crunch match at the bottom of the table on Saturday as well as Chievo and Siena lock horns.
On Monday, Napoli travel to Cagliari and with both sides having just one win in their last four – it could be a nervy 90 minutes.
Elsewhere, Inter Milan will be looking to get all three points as they head to Parma. Inter could move to within just a point of Juventus if results go their way this weekend.
The final game to look at is all set to be a superb encounter as Lazio and Udinese lock horns on Tuesday night. Udinese have drawn their last four and will look to this as a game to kick-start their campaign, whereas Lazio sit comfortably in the top six.
It should be another eventful few days in Serie A.
