Lazio will of course be the favourites as they are in such good form, but Palermo are fighting for their lives at the bottom and won’t roll over on Saturday evening. With the way these two are playing right now though, it is tough to see anything other than a win for the side in second.
Then, Juventus are at home to Udinese in what has the makings of being a cracking encounter. The team from Turin have not won in two matches, which is a lot for them and they are only three points clear at the top now.
A win is needed, but will be tough as Udinese have won their last two and have made themselves tough to beat in recent weeks.
Moving onto Sunday, Fiorentina take on Napoli in another eagerly anticipated match. Fiorentina have moved down to fifth after back-to-back defeats, whereas Napoli are in third after three straight victories.
AC Milan entertain Bologna at the San Siro and only there points will do for the home side as they try to move closer to the Champions League spot.
It has been a difficult campaign for the Italian giants, but they have started to show a decent bit of form in recent weeks.
Pescara had looked like moving away from trouble after notching up back-to-back wins, but their defeat last weekend dragged them right back into the relegation battle. This time out, they host Torino, who are in the bottom half, but six points clear of the bottom three and on a four game unbeaten run.
The away side will come here confident of taking the spoils.
Siena have lost six in a row now and sit rock bottom of Serie A. They are at home to Sampdoria this weekend and if they are to stand a chance of surviving, then home wins are vital.
Cagliari lifted themselves out of the bottom three with a win over Genoa last time out, so now they will hope to go on a good run and climb up the table. They head to Atalanta though and must be at their very best to claim all three points.
The final games taking place on Sunday afternoon are Genoa v Catania and Chievo v Parma. Genoa are in 18th right now and desperate for points, whereas the other three teams all sit comfortably in mid-table.
A massive game gets underway on Sunday evening as Roma entertain Inter Milan. On their day, these two teams are up there with the best in the league, but they have both been inconsistent this season.
Roma’s realistic ambition is to challenge for a Champions League spot, whereas Inter are going for the title, so this should be a fitting way to round off the Serie A action.
