Siena Napoli : Live Stream available as Coppa Italia continues

Much of the attention ahead of the Coppa Italia semi-finals has been on the clash between AC Milan and Juventus. The other semi-final between Siena and Napoli deserves its fair share of build up though as they too fight it out for a place in the final as you can watch all the action live and online.

It is certainly set to be an intriguing contest over the two legs, with the first taking place on Thursday evening at Stadio Artemio Franchi, the home of Siena.

This is where Siena need to make their progress in this semi-final too. If they are to progress to the final, many will agree that they need to take a comfortable victory to Napoli for the second-leg.

After all, Siena are struggling somewhat in the league at the moment. After winning promotion from Serie B last season, they find themselves in 17th, just three points clear of the relegation zone.

This makes them surprise participants in the Coppa Italia semi-finals, no doubt about that. However, they have done extremely well to progress past the likes of Chievo and Palermo to make it this far and they deserve their shot at the final.

As far as their recent form goes, it hasn’t been fantastic. In fact, their win at Chievo in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals is their only victory in five games.

Their excellent 4-0 hammering of Lazio last month will still be fresh in the memory though, so they will be hoping to lift themselves for the arrival of Napoli.

As for the visitors, well they are 7th in Serie A after a rather disappointing run of form of late. Much like Siena, Napoli’s victory at the Coppa Italia quarter-final stage stands alone in terms of recent victories.

In fact, the win over Inter Milan in the last round is their only success in the last six games. They have drawn four of these games though.

This semi-final first leg certainly acts as the start of an important few weeks for Napoli. Following this trip to Siena, they have two Serie A games before the Champions League clash with Chelsea.

Overall, both Siena and Napoli have saved their best form for the Coppa Italia recently and this means we could be in for a fascinating first leg on Thursday evening.

Napoli will be the favourites, but Siena held them to a 1-1 draw in the Serie A last month and will back themselves to go one better this time around.
