Simon Grayson imposes Twitter ban

Leeds manager Simon Grayson has banned all his playing staff from using social networking site, Twitter, after news of an injury was leaked.

Davide Somma suffered a cruciate ligament injury on Saturday, and Grayson was disheartened to find that the public learned of the injury before certain personnel who needed to.

The striker will be out for six months but Grayson is still dissapointed at how social networking was used, stating: “I am hugely disappointed by the manner in which the outcome of Davide’s scan has come out,”

“It is club policy with any social networks that players are banned from leaking any information. It was confirmed on Saturday morning that he had done his cruciate ligament, which is a massive blow to the club and the player.”

Despite the injury, Grayson is adamant that the club will not struggle to find a replacement: “We have players capable of stepping in but I am hugely disappointed for the lad because he has worked so hard and scored goals.”
