Lyon can move to within three points of the team at the top of the table and after losing their last two top flight encounters, a win is vital away from home this weekend.

The visiting side’s recent form will be a bit of a concern and three points are far from guaranteed here as Bordeaux have lost just three times in Ligue 1 this term.

The hosts are also just two points away from a Europa League spot, so this is a massive game for them as well.

In terms of Bordeaux’s form, it has been inconsistent as their last four matches have seen two wins and two defeats, so you never quite know what you are going to get.

It is however, all set to be a very interesting 90 minutes and Lyon are at 13/5 to come out on top.

Then, Reims entertain Saint Etienne and the away team will be expecting to claim another three points and extend their winning run to five matches.

The form of Saint Etienne has surprised a few, but they have now moved into fourth position and look extremely strong.

They have conceded just two goals in their last four encounters, so have made being solid at the back a priority and after a 4-1 win over Montpellier last time out, have shown they are more than capable of scoring goals. At 20/19, the look decent value here.

Reims, on the other hand, won their first game in the league since October last weekend and they know that has to spark a good run of form.

They currently sit in 16th place and if results don’t go their way this weekend, they could be in the bottom three by Sunday evening.

Both sides are desperate for points, albeit for very different reasons, so this should be a cracker.

The final game on Sunday sees Paris Saint Germain make the journey to Sochaux and the hosts know they have a tough evening ahead of them.

Sochaux haven’t won in three and have slipped into the drop zone, so they could be taking on PSG at the wrong time, especially as the team from the capital have won their last four.

Whatever the Lyon result might be, Carlo Ancelotti will demand that his men perform here and take the spoils as they could take a giant step in terms of regaining the title. They are at 8/15 to come out on top.

PSG do look to be too strong for the rest of the teams in Ligue 1 at the moment, but they have suffered a few surprise results this campaign, so can’t afford to be at all complacent in this one.

With all six teams in action desperate for points on Sunday, it should be a superb day of action if this French top flight.
