Championship leaders Southampton take on local rivals Portsmouth in the south coast derby on Saturday in what is a massive game for both clubs for very different reasons, as Pompey, despite their recent troubles, could be the value at a big price of 6/1.
Southampton will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Blackpool last weekend.
It has been a fantastic campaign for Nigel Adkins’ team so far though. The Saints find themselves four points clear of second place Reading and look set to follow in the footsteps of Norwich City by completing back to back promotions.

Before Saturday’s defeat to Blackpool, Southampton had been on a twelve game unbeaten run in the league, winning eight.
Ricky Lambert is enjoying a great season in front of goal scoring 24 in the Championship this season. The Saints striker has relished the challenge of stepping up from League One and if Southampton were to clinch promotion this season, Lambert will be looking to prove himself at the highest level.
It has been quite the opposite for Portsmouth this season who have found life in the Championship tough. Pompey were not helped by a ten point deduction after going into administration earlier in the campaign.
With this deduction, Michael Appleton’s men find themselves in the bottom three, five points from safety.
This is potentially Portsmouth biggest game of the season and it makes it all the more important being against their bitter rivals.

Pompey have won two of the last four but have been poor on the road in recent months, winning only twice away from Fratton Park.
The Saints have had the better of this fixture in previous meetings winning 19 to Portsmouth’s nine.
Although both sides know that form goes out of the window in these types of games, Nigel Adkins’ side will go into the game as clear favourites.
It should be a fascinating game at St Mary’s with both sides needing the points to help them achieve their goals this season. The match gets underway from 1pm on Saturday.
