Reports suggest that Tottenham goalkeeper, Heurelho Gomes, is looking for a move away from the North London club after he was pushed out of the starting XI by summer signing, Brad Friedel.
The 30 year-old has had a mixed time at White Hart Lane, showing some laughable performances as well as the kind of form that earned him a move to London in the first place.
Friedel, eleven years Gomes’ senior, arrived at the club on a free transfer in the summer window, and despite Tottenham’s harsh start to the season, has performed well.
Harry Redknapp commented on the Brazilian’s future at the club, noting: “He’s not happy and he’s eyeing a January move. If the chance comes for him to play elsewhere, I’m sure he’ll take it.”
He added: “I’ve not bombed out Gomes and made him No.3 keeper but we decided Carlo Cudicini would be better on the bench.”
