Sunderland manager, Steve Bruce, has voiced his approval of the Nicklas Bendtner transfer, labelling the season-long loan deal a ‘no-brainer’.
The Danish international completed a deadline day loan move to the Stadium of Light, reuniting with former manager Bruce.
The two worked together while Bruce was at the helm of Birmingham City and Bendtnder was loan there on similar terms.
The Black Cats recently lost striker, Asamoah Gyan to United Arab Emiratesside, Al-Aid, and are very glad to have a replacement on hand.
Bruce said: “It was a no-brainer to bring someone of Nicklas’ quality to this football club. Nick is very good with his feet considering his size and you don’t play 150 games for Arsenal at his age unless you’re a very good player.”
