Former Dutch international, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, has proved rumours true and joined Steve McClaren’s regime, as a coach at Nottingham Forest.
Hasselbaink enjoyed a playing career at the likes of Chelsea, Middlesborough and Cardiff, but has decided now is the time to turn his attention to coaching.
The former Dutch striker will take the role of first-team coach at the City Ground, working more specifically with the team’s forwards.
Hasselbaink enjoyed a successful spell at the Riverside, where he worked under McClaren. He told the Reds’ website: “Steve knows how to talk to players, knows what they want and he makes them feel comfortable.”
Hasselbaink added: “I couldn’t be happier working with him at a big club like this and I was delighted to get the opportunity.”
