Stoke boss Pulis hails Man United as best in the world

Stoke manager Tony Pulis has revealed that he sees Manchester United the best team in world club football ahead of today’s clash between the sides.

The Stoke boss believes that United’s youthful summer arrivals have given them a cutting edge and sense of vitality that places them at the summit of world football.

United have won all five of their Premier League games this season, including huge wins over title rivals Arsenal and Chelsea with Pulis admitting that if United play at their best his side have little chance of a result.

“If you look at their team and the way they’ve started, I think United now have a better team than they had last year, and they won the Barclays Premier League title last year,” said the Stoke manager.

He continued:

“It’s going to be a tough test. We have to play to our maximum, we have to have things go for us, and United have to be a little bit short on the day.”

The Potters boss added that in his opinion even Champions League winners Barcelona would be no match for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side:

“If they play to their maximum, they will beat any side in the world, and I put Barcelona in that because they have been pretty outstanding.”
