Stoke City insist Shawcross ‘not for sale’
Stoke City have issued a statement to all potential suitors, claiming that defensive star, Ryan Shawcross, is not for sale.
The Staffordshire outfit are keen to hold on to their centre-back ahead of the new season, which will see them in the long-forgotten territory of European football.
The defender is reportedly being tracked by Liverpool as Kenny Dalglish seeks defensive reinforcements.
The 23 year-old recently snubbed a call-up to the Welsh squad in the hopes that he still has a chance of making his first appearance for England.
Shawcross became club captain last season and is currently preparing for the club’s Europa League qualifying second-leg fixture against Hadjuk Split.
