Stoke City make audacious attempt to sign Chelsea striker

Reports are suggesting that Stoke City have approached Chelsea in regards to taking new signing, Romelu Lukaku, to the Brittania Stadium on a season-long loan.

The 18 year-old completed his £20m transfer to Stamford Bridge earlier this month, and has previously stated that he is adamant to impress with the Blues and not be loaned out to a smaller club.

Lukaku is already a senior Belgian international and was the top scorer in the Belgian domestic league in the 2009-10 campaign; at the age of only 16 year-old.

The youngster made his debut for Chelsea, coming on as a late substitute in his new club’s 3-1 win over Norwich City on the weekend.

Tony Pulis is also rumoured to be in the race to sign strikers Peter Crouch and Nicklas Bendtner from Tottenham and Arsenal, respectively.

More on Stoke City enquiry for Lukaku.
