Stoke City plan record transfer for Arsenal outcast

Arsenal striker, Nicklas Bendtner, is set to be the subject of a club record-breaking £9m bid from Stoke City.

It’s understood that the Dane’s agent made contact with the Staffordshire club over the weekend regarding a move to the Brittania.

Stoke manager, Tony Pulis, will be looking for offensive options after choosing not to renew the contract of last season’s loanee, John Carew.

The 23 year-old has experienced some bad luck in past seasons, only managing two goals last term after being restricted to a substitute role.

Tony Pulis is hopeful of bolstering his squad before the new campaign starts, noting: “We are threadbare at the moment. Fingers crossed we can bring one or two players in over the next few days.”
