Stoke City Norwich Odds : Pulis’s side look backable at Britannia

Stoke City will look to build on last week’s win over Swansea when they go up against another promoted side, Norwich City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday as Ladbrokes make them 10/11 favourites.

Potters fans were left scratching their heads after seeing their side take a weakened squad with them to Spain for the second leg of their Europa League tie against Valencia.

In what was arguably the biggest game in the club’s history and trailing by just one goal from the first leg, they were still in with an outside chance of making it to the next stage.

However, boss Tony Pulis stuck by his decision to leave nine key players at home with the aim of keeping his squad fresh for the remainder of the Premier League season.

They bounced back from defeat in Spain with a well-earned win over Swansea last weekend and now they’ll look to make it back to back wins the Premier League for the first time since December when Norwich are the visitors to the Britannia Stadium.

The Canaries were left feeling aggrieved after they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against Manchester United last weekend having pulled it back to 1-1 with only a few minutes remaining. Ryan Giggs then marked his 900th appearance with a goal, helping his team to what could be a crucial three points in the outcome of the title race.

Despite that defeat Paul Lambert’s side look to be on the verge of securing their Premier League place for next season, with 14 points separating them from the drop zone and their fellow promoted sides well below them.

Neither side have any fresh injury worries going into the game, with Norwich only sweating  on the fitness of Daniel Ayala, although the Spaniard should be available for selection on Sunday.

The last time these two teams met at Carrow Road neither side could find a winner as the spoils were shared in a 1-1 stalemate.
