Despite being the goalscoring hero in Sunderland’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool, Sebastian Larsson was quick to praise summer signing, Wes Brown, for his influence on the team.
Brown arrived from Manchester United earlier this summer, to begin a new venture at Sunderland, as a fresh brood of youngsters ascend through the ranks at Old Trafford.
The Swedish international is also impressed with the partnership the 31 year-old has shaped with Anton Ferdinand.
Larsson commented: “Ever since Wes came here he’s been a leader. He’s a terrific player and obviously can only get better by playing regularly.”
The former Birmingham midfielder added: “He was fantastic. It was nice seeing him and Anton do well.”
