Nicklas Bendtner has completed a move away from Emirates Stadium and signed for Sunderland on a season-long loan.
Manager Steve Bruce has been looking for offensive reinforcements all summer after Danny Welbeck returned to Manchester United after spending last season on loan at the Stadium of Light.
Frazier Campbell has also suffered another injury, and Bruce was keen to find another striker to partner Asamoah Gyan in attack.
Bendtner was linked with a host of European clubs, but signed with the north-east outfit minutes before the transfer window closed.
