
Liverpool will be out to continue their recent improved form when they take on Sunderland at the Stadium of light on later today.
The Reds have shown a marked improvement in recent weeks and will head to the North-East with just one defeat in their last 12 games. Brendan Rodgers men are unbeaten in their last 6 games and have won two of their last three games on the road.

The upturn in fortune has seen the club climb to 8th in the table, just seven points off the Champions league spots.
Sunderland meanwhile are 14th in the table having won just three of their 20 games this season. The draw specialists have proved difficult to beat and breakdown, losing just 6 times and sharing the spoils on an incredible 11 occasions.
Last time out they ended a three game winless run with a 1-0 success over Leeds in the FA Cup however where it matters, in the league, they have won just one of their last 10 games. The Black Cats have not won at home since a 3-1 success over Stoke in October with Arsenal, Manchester City and Hull all picking up three points on their travels up North.
Manager Guy Poyet is set to be without Captain Lee Cattermole with the midfielder still struggling with a groin injury, while Jack Rodwell will be given a fitness test on a hamstring problem. Anthony Reveillere could return after a calf injury however on loan defender Sebastian Coates is ineligible against his parent club.
Liverpool meanwhile will be without in-form Adam Lallana. The midfielder faces four weeks out with a calf injury and joins the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Jon Flanagan, Glen Johnson, Brad Jones and Joe Allen on the sidelines.
These two drew 0-0 when they met at Anfield last month while Sunderland have won just one of the last four times they have hosted Liverpool.
