Swansea Blackburn Odds : Steve Kean looking to stave off Premiership relegation at Liberty Stadium

Two out of form teams meet at the Liberty Stadium this weekend as Swansea and Blackburn go head to head on Saturday afternoon, as Steve Kean’s side look the value of the weekend to fight off Premiership relegation at 3/1.

Both teams have lost four Premier League games in succession, so there is no doubt that they will be targeting a return to winning ways this weekend.

Blackburn are more desperate than Swansea of course. As things stand, Rovers are three points adrift of safety and they are running out of games to preserve their Premier League status.

It has been a bizarre season for Steve Kean’s men of course, with the fans protesting against the coaching staff and the board for quite some time now. The atmosphere has been far from positive at the club, no doubt about that.

Things were looking more positive a few weeks ago of course with back to back wins taking them six points clear of the relegation zone. They have since fallen back in to trouble though and many are questioning whether they are capable of pulling away once again.

As for Swansea, they are much safer than Rovers as they sit 14th in the Premier League, 10 points clear of the relegation zone. There is no doubt that they are frustrated by the fact that they have been on 39 points for a few weeks now though.

It has of course been a fantastic season for Brendan Rogers’ men and they will be determined to finish strongly. It would be really disappointing if they faded away and were still looking over their shoulders with two or three games to go.

When these two teams met earlier this season, it was Blackburn that ran out 4-2 winners and they would love a repeat this weekend.

Swansea’s home advantage means they are favourites for the points though. They have only lost four times at home this season and they will be confident of getting the better of a struggling Blackburn side.

This one gets underway at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
