Tuesday Premiership as Swansea set to shock John Terry less Chelsea

After the thrills and spills of the FA Cup weekend, the Premier League returns this week and there are several excellent matches in prospect on Tuesday evening as well as plenty of Bet365 free bets to pick up.

Many managers might be pre-occupied with the January transfer window slamming shut, but matters on the pitch are still extremely significant as teams look for crucial points to climb the table.

In total, there are five games on Tuesday night, the pick of which is probably Swansea City at home to Chelsea.

In their last home game, the Swans won 3-2 against Arsenal and they would love a similar score line against Andre Villas-Boas’ men.

Chelsea on the other hand will be after a professional performance, perhaps converting their chances more sufficiently than they did during the 0-0 draw at Norwich recently.

Looking at the team news for this one, Swansea could welcome back Alan Tate for the first time since August, while Frank Lampard is rated as 50-50 for Chelsea.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, there are games in which a clear favourite to win is clear for all to see.

Tottenham will be expected to pick up three points at home to Wigan, Liverpool should have more than enough to come away from Wolves with the points, while Manchester United are expected to do the business at home to Stoke.

Perhaps the remaining game on Tuesday evening – Everton at home to Manchester City – will be the tightest of the lot. David Moyes’ men don’t concede too many goals and they would like to hold their own against the Premier League leaders.

As far as the team news is concerned for this one, Everton still have several injury problems with the likes of Phil Jagielka, Sylvain Distin, Seamus Coleman, Jack Rodwell and Leon Osman on the sidelines.

The news is more positive for City. They welcome back Vincent Kompany as they look to record a valuable away victory.

Overall, Tuesday night should be an eventful one for all of the Premier League teams in action. Both on and off the pitch!
