Swansea City are nearing the completion of signing Polish goalkeeper Grzegorz Sandomierski from Jagiellonia Białystok with the club suggesting that the Welsh side had shown the most interest in him.
The 21 year old keeper is held in high regard by many European clubs and is one player that Chelsea are also monitoring very carefully. However, Swansea City manager Brendan Rogers has close ties to the Chelsea team and there has been an interesting arrangement made whereby the West London club will have first refusal should Swansea choose to sell and the Chelsea management feel that Sandomierski can make the grade at Premiership level.
The arrangement looks to have suited both parties and Chelsea in particular will not have to travel too far in watching a possible new keeper for the future at Stamford Bridge.
Whilst our source does not suggest any transfer fee for the young Pole, most reports do suggest that he could be available for as much as £5m, although it appears that a sell on fee percentage will be more likely bring the price nearer to £3m for the newly promoted Swansea side.
