Swansea City launch bid for Dutch stopper

Reports suggest that NEC Nijmegen goalkeeper, Jasper Cillessen, has attracted interest from Swansea City, and the Welsh side have submitted a bid.
The Premier League new boys are keen to invest in a new No. 1 after former keeper, Dorus de Vries, made the move to Wolves on a free transfer.

Swans manager, Brendan Rodgers was also rumoured to be in the hunt for Fulham’s David Stockdale, but lost out as the England international instead joined Ipswich on loan.

The 22 year-old is also being watched by Ajax as they look to fill the void left by Maarten Stekelenburg’s departure to Roma.

Cillessen recently earned his first call-up to the Netherlands senior squad after an impressive season with NEC.
