Two newly-promoted clubs meet at the Liberty Stadium this weekend as Swansea City and Norwich City – both of whom are performing extremely well in the Premier League – go head to head on Saturday afternoon as Ladbrokes make the Swans cracking bet at 10/11 to take the spoils.
Queens Park Rangers may have stolen a lot of the headlines this season with their significant transfer activity and sacking of Neil Warnock, but it is the two teams that came up with them that deserve the most credit.
As things stand, Swansea are 10th in the table, while Norwich are one place and two points above them in 9th. The priority for both clubs is still to remain in the top flight this year, but they have certainly given themselves an excellent chance.

Swansea in particular are getting lots of praise at the moment and rightly so. Defeat at Sunderland last month is their only Premier League reverse in the last seven games, a run which has included a famous victory over Arsenal and two hard earned draws with Tottenham and Chelsea.
Then, in their most recent encounter, Brendan Rogers’ men played some excellent football on the way to a 2-1 victory at West Brom. It was only their second away win of the season, but this simply shows how much they are adapting to life in the Premier League.
Norwich have been on a good run too. In fact, they have only suffered one defeat so far in 2012, winning three of their last five Premier League games. Looking further back, the Canaries have only suffered two defeats in their last 12 games across all competitions.
As mentioned, this run has continued the good work undertaken earlier in the season, helping them to 12 points above the relegation zone. Paul Lambert’s men are actually close to the Champions League places than they are the bottom three.
Overall, this is set up to be a fascinating contest between two in-form sides. In the last three meetings between these two, it is the home side that have come out on top.
This appears to be the outcome many are backing because of Swansea’s excellent home form – they have only lost once at the Liberty Stadium this season – but Norwich have been more than competitive on the road, with defeat at Sunderland ending a run of six away games unbeaten.
Looking at the team news, Swansea will be without Ferrie Bodde and Andrea Orlandi, while Norwich are set to bring in Russell Martin for the injured Daniel Ayala. Fellow centre back Zak Whitbread hopes to be fit after picking up a knock in last weekend’s win over Bolton.
