Talisman unhappy with European omission

Rafael van der Vaart has unveiled his dismay after being left out of Tottenham’s squad for this year’s Europa League.

The Dutchman also told that the North London club didn’t even notify him about their decision.

Speaking to The Sun, the playmaker said: “Spurs could at least have consulted me. Anyway it’s up to the point of no return. I will be focusing on the game against Liverpool.”

The 28 year-old is keen to get as much game time under his belt, adding: “But I would have loved to play in the Europa League. It would have helped me regain some rhythm.”
