Tevez in Possible City U-Turn

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has revealed that Carlos Tevez may play in this Sunday’s Premier League fixture against Bolton.

Tevez has missed the whole City’s pre-season tour and did not play in their opening fixture against Swansea on Monday due to having an extended break after his involvement in the Copa America.

The Argentine forward had confirmed that he wanted to leave the club and vowed never to return to Manchester which he called “small and wet.”
But in an amazing turn around after Tevez looked set to join Brazilian club Corinthians in July, it now looks like the former Eastland’s captain will now stay at City.

The former West Ham and Manchester United striker had also been linked with a move to Inter Milan, however Mancini has confirmed that there has been no recent interest for Tevez. Mancini also said that despite Tevez wanting to leave the club, he was mentally fit to play and had also been focused in training.

“He has worked very well in these two weeks,” added Mancini.
“When Carlos plays, he always plays very well and gives 100%. I think maybe he is not 100% fit, but his mind is okay.”
